Description

A single room in a shared flat in the Raval district of Barcelona. The apartment is located on the fourth floor of an old building without a lift. The room has brown cork walls, a single bed, a desk and a wardrobe. There´s a large living room with a sofa, table and chairs and a balcony. The kitchen is smallish and there´s only one hotplate for cooking although there is also a microwave. The apartment is to be shared with the landlady who is a school teacher and in her 30´s. In this flat it's not allowed to smoke.

Location

At any time of day this area contains a mixture of native Barcelonans and tourists from around the world. This area flanks Barcelonas most famous street Las Ramblas, with its many street musicians and performers. On this boulevard there is always a lot of activity around the many flower and pet shops. It’s combines a beautiful old Palau Güell) with buildings of interesting and recent architecture (Museu d´Art Contemporani de Barcelona -MACBA), as well as different and clubs to have dinner, take a drink or go out.
However, even Raval is not the safest district of Barcelona, especially by night (it used to be called the "China Town" of Barcelona), a lot of tourists like living in this area as this district is the very heart of Barcelona and, usually, has the lowest rent prices in town.
