Apartment located in the Eixample Esquerre neighbourhood of Barcelona, between Hospital Clinic, the Diagonal and the Sants train station, where trains set out to diverse destinations, such as the Prat Airport. The apartment is well connected with the city centre; you can arrive within 20 minutes, using any of the many options for public transportation. The apartment is only 20 minutes walking distance from the fairgrounds (Plaza España and Montjuïc), and is therefore very comfortable for those who are interested in the numerous commercial opportunities. Following Plaza España, you may continue to the mountain of Montjuïc, where there are many important archaeological, anthropologic, and artistic museums known around the world; such as the Miró Foundation and the National Museum of Catalan Art. There are also spectacular light and music shows at the fountains as well as long walks through gardens which was the centre of the Olympic games in 1992. Also close by, you will find the unique Catalan modernist buildings from Gaudí, such as the Pedrera or Batlló House. Throughout the entire area there are wonderful restaurants, quality commercial areas and the public library is less than 100 meters away. It is one of the most tranquil and safe areas of Barcelona with great public transportation. The apartment is situated on the second floor of an old building in perfect condition. There is a lift and a door man. The apartment is tranquil with an exit to a nice sunny balcony. It has been recently refurbished and is equipped with heating, hot water, parquet floors, and isolated/acclimatized windows which block out sound and extreme temperatures. The bathroom has a large shower. The kitchen includes dishes and all the necessary equipment for five people. There is an electric stove, a convection oven, washer/dryer and iron for clothes, as well as a toaster, blender and microwave. This apartment has one bedroom and is ideal for two or three people, although there is room for 4 or 5 people. There is charming decoration and lighting. In the living room there is a television with DVD, stereo system and Internet connection. The double bedroom includes two beds which can be separated and an additional pull-out bed. In the living room there is a double sofa bed for two people, which is especially easy to assemble

Location

The construction of the L´Eixample district of Barcelona started at the beginning of the 20th Century, by the time they finished the Clinic Hospital in 1904 the surrounding areas were still farmland. Today the Ninot Market caracterizes the central part of this neighbourhood.
The left hand side of the Eixample district is the modernistic part of Barcelona. All the streets cross in the rectangular style, which is quite unusual for European town planning. The buildings, nearly all of which have been reformed, are from the 20th Century and you will notice the variety in the decorated façades of the buildings as you walk through this area of Barcelona. You will find something to suit every taste in this area, design and fashion shops, relaxing parks and a range of bars and cafes to have your morning coffee in. There are also a good number of restaurants, bars and discos for those looking for some nightlife Barcelona is so famous for. The majority of these are around the streets, Londres, Paris and Muntaner. It can be difficult to resist the temptation to stop and try out some the local pastries & coffees, drinks & tapas or have dinner in some of the most fashionable restaurants in Barcelona. Towards the bottom of L´Eixample it meets with Plaza Catalunya and the beginning of the Gothic Quarter.
The Eixample is one of the prettiest and safest districts of Barcelona. Places of interest not to miss: Plaza Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia and Plaza España that has a fountain display with lights and music in the evening time.
