Very comfortable, totally refurbished, inaugurated in March of 2007, located on a commercial street, especially with supermarkets (with the best store of cooked vegetables in the city). 3' from the Cathedral, Gothic Quarter and the Palau of Music and the Picasso Museum, 8' from Las Ramblas and 10' from Pza. Catalunya (with bus to the airport each 10 '). Parking (payment) 50 mts away. Several restaurants of different categories and specialties close by. The mini-bus of district nº 120 passes on the same street and tube lines 1 and 4 at a distance of 4 '. The apartment has a capacity for 8 people, perfect for a family or a small group. The apartment is situated on the first floor without a lift. Three bedrooms: one with double bed of 1.90 m. and two with two single beds of 2 mts. Double sofa-bed in the living room. Dining – living room with a totally equipped kitchen: electric stove, oven with grill, microwave, etc. Safe-deposit box.
NOTE: In this apartment we only accept groups of friends over 5 people IF older than 28 years old. If younger than 28 we only accept a maximun of 4 people. This is not an apartment for parties.

The districts of Santa Caterina and Sant Pere form part of the old helmet of Barcelona and their names originate with the large religious institutions that were once in this area. In the 18th century, the age of maritime trade, the majority of its commerce and business centered in and around this area.
Today the district is known for the density of its buildings with their narrow winding streets, filled with little shops. For tourists it´s an ideal starting point to discover Barcelona. With its variety of shops you will be able to find all you need for your stay within a short walking distance and its location allows you to reach most of the tourist spots within a few minutes. The Gothic Quarter and Cathedral as well as Plaza Catalunya, Arc de Triumfo and Park Ciutadella are all very near, about a five to ten minute walk from the area. You can even get to the beach in about fifteen minutes.
On the other hand, the Santa Caterina and Sant Pere districts are not the safest areas of Barcelona. Its not recommended that tourists stroll around the little side streets especially at night.
On saying that a lot of tourists stay in the area for its good location and the authentic atmosphere. Some places of interest to look out for are; the Palau de la Música, the Arch de Triumf, the Ciutadella Park and the Picasso Museum. |
