Barcelona School of Inline Skating – Rollerblading courses and tours for all ages and abilities

Learn to rollerblade with the official School of Inline Skating in Barcelona or try one of their Guided Rollerblading Tours of the city.

Begun in 1996 by two enthusiastic and professional in-line skaters, Toni Pla and Carles Bial, the school’s “classroom” programs have had such success that they are now the only skate school to be officially certified by the Catalan Federation of Skating.

Inline Skating/Rollerblading Tours

Barcelona is known for its great skating. So if you like rollerblading, there isn’t a better way to see the city than via one of the tours operated by the School. They offer tours of different durations (see below) and routes are flexible depending on what each group would like to see and on accessibility.

Prices
1 hour tour: 10€
2 hour tour: 15€
3 hour tour: 20€ - includes short break to have a drink (not included in the price)

How to Book a Tour
Call in advance with the number of people in the group and the time and duration of the tour you would like to take. Minimum group size is 5 and maximum is 20. If you are a single person or a group of less than 5, it may be possible to merge your group with another. Availability is best in the mornings Monday to Friday.

Inline Skating/Rollerblading Courses

Regardless of your age, whether you are a beginner or of a more advanced level, the school has classes to suit all needs:
• Adults: From basic skating and turns through to more advanced techniques.
• Children: Beginners courses based on a series of exercises and games.
• Dance and Choreography: Aimed at mid-level skaters; learn to impress with some fun dance moves.
• Roller-Hockey: A great way to improve your technique and participate in game scenarios.
• Freestyle: Tricks and games adaptable to suit all levels of ability.
• Special Requests: Sessions can be arranged for individuals or groups for special occasions.

Course Prices
- Sample Class: 5 € - no advance booking needed for new students.
- Monthly Classes: 35€ - One class a week for four weeks
- Additional Classes: 5€ - for each extra class
- Intensive Monthly Course: 75€ entitles you to take all the classes you want during the month. The 75€ also includes the registration fee.
- Annual registration Fee:
This 25€ fee is mandatory for all those wishing to take a course (with the exception of the Sample Class) as it acts as your insurance during your time at the school. As a special offer until the end of July 2009, the fee has been reduced to 12€.
N.B. all prices include rental equipment (rollerblades) and protection (hand, elbow and knee pads)

Summer Inline Hockey School Special

For the month of July 09, students of middle to advanced level can participate in a special summer inline hockey course which will take place on Saturdays from 11:30 to 13:00h in sports complex at the Estació del Nord.
Instructed by Toni Pla (active player/coach) the course will teach you the techniques of puck control, attack-defence tactics and team play. Each inline hockey session will end with a match to apply the knowledge you have learnt.
N.B. The necessary equipment (skates, skate guards and a stick) is included in the price. If you have your own equipment, it is recommended that you bring it.
