The Aerobus
This is an airport bus service that leaves from T1 or T2 (A, B and C) and goes directly to the centre of Barcelona. There are 4 main stops in the centre: Plaza Espanya, Urgell, Plaza Universitat and Plaza Catalunya. Upon leaving the airport, head straight to the bus stop and you will see a light-blue bus, with the word “Aerobús” on it. The light blue buses are also operating from Terminal 2. When you go from the Plaça Catalunya to the airport, make sure to take the right light blue bus which takes you either to T1 or T2. The journey lasts between 25 and 30 minutes.

Public Transport buses:
The journey to and from the airport can also be made using public buses. This is, without doubt, the cheapest solution: a standard ticket using TMB can be purchased for just €1.40. It is, however, the slowest form of transport and doesn’t have luggage holders. For many it is appealing, as you can avoid changing buses. Buses generally leave from terminal 2 but go to terminal 1 before heading in the direction of the centre of Barcelona.
Direct lines during the day
Line 46: this is the only direct line between the Airport and Plaza Espanya. It operates from 5 o’clock in the morning until midnight. Tickets cost €1.40.
Please click here for a complete timetable of bus 46
Line 105:
This leaves from the Airport and goes to Prat-Pueblo, its only connection being with the number 65 bus. The service is available from 4.45 in the morning until 22.43 at night.
Please click here for a complete timetable of bus 105. From there, you can take the number 65 bus direct to Plaça Espanya.
If you are travelling during the early hours of the morning the question of how to get to the centre of Barcelona still remains unanswered. However, don’t worry- the night service, the Nuit N17, is especially for you and operates from midnight to 5 o’clock a.m. The main stops are Plaza Espanya and Plaza Catalunya. The ticket costs just €1.40 and buses come every 20 minutes.
By Train
From T2 sub-terminal B at the airport you can catch a train that will take you to the city centre via the following stations: Barcelona Sants and Passeig de Gràcia, El Clot and St. Andreu. The journey to the city centre lasts more or less 20 to 25 minutes. Terminal T1 will also have its own train station, construction for which has already begun in preparation to be ready by 2012. At the moment, to get to the city centre you need first to get to T2 sub-terminal B. Don’t know how to get to the other terminal?
