Since 1997 Matinée; a famous after-hours venue has lent its name to the Matinée Group founded by Manolo Soria.

This group and DJ promoter has grown to become one of the best groups of house music DJs in Europe.

This year the Matinée Group will kick off the summer season with one of the best known festivals today – the Matinée Summer Festival at Isla Fantasia. On Sunday 12th June the water park will gather together some of the best European artists around.

Get ready to be blown away by a spectacular day of water park attractions, good atmosphere and the best sounds around from the Matinée All Star DJs.

This year is loaded with surprises and includes special guests Vanesa Klein, DJ Andre Vicenzzo and Taito Tikaro as some of the biggest names.

Temperatures promise to stay high with over 50 Matinée Dancers lined up on stage with an atmosphere that looks to be pretty steamy!

Location and advice

Once again Barcelona’s most impressive water park “Illa Fantasia” in Vilassar de Mar, has been chosen to host the most impressive and attractive music festival of the summer.

This water park is made up of different rides, swimming pools, mini-golf, bars, restaurants and a central pool (dance floor), relaxation areas for a siesta and picnic spots to recharge the batteries. After the festival any ideas of a typical water park will have been changed forever.

This year the list of Matinée All Star DJ’s is headed by;

- J.Louis: Resident DJ at Amnesia in Ibiza, one of the most avant-garde disc-jockeys around and normally playing non-commercial music.

- Taito Tikaro: A DJ with a completely personal style including Techno, Electro, Progressive-House, and Deep House. Currently in great demand from internationally renowned clubs such as Colosseum (London) and Winter Music Conference (Miami) among others.

- Sergio B: Started in Terrassa, and has made his way around the most important European clubs although he continues to combine this tour with his resident spot at L’Atlàntida de Sitges.

- Flavio Zarza: A real reference of Catalan house music with a style completely influenced by techno, house, pop and electro. Currently a resident at the Dboy – one of Barcelona’s most referential gay clubs

- Javi Always: One of the latest incorporations, with many followers for his particular rhythms and techniques on the dance floor. He has a number of awards as a producer.

- Lydia Sanz: has become a true reference among the gay and lesbian community, high-quality house music and 100% danceable. Has played on the biggest European stages.

- Andre Vicenzzo: A completely unique character with mixed origins (Spain, Italy, Chile and the Basque Country), has played at the best clubs in Europe as well as being a presenter for Loca FM Catalunya. As a producer he has created a number of tracks included in the Flaix FM “Megacracks”.

- Vanessa Klein: has grown with her powerful voice and the collaboration with the Matinée Group to become the diva of today’s house scene.

How to get there

By train:

From Barcelona: from the stations Clot, Arco del Triunfo, Plaza Cataluña or Sants with Renfe Cercanías heading to Mataró, Calella or Blanes and getting off at Premia de Mar.

From Gerona: From Girona station with Renfe Cercanías to Blanes and from here with Renfe Cercanías heading to the Airport or Hospitalet de Llobregat and getting off at Premia de Mar

From Tarragona: with Renfe to the train station Clot Aragón or Sants and from here with the Renfe cercanías heading to Mataró, Calella or Blanes and getting off at Premia de Mar.

From Lérida: with Renfe to the station at Clot Aragó or Sants and from here with Renfe Cercanías heading to Mataró, Calella or Blanes and getting off at Premia de Mar.

From Premia de Mar there is a bus to Illa Fantasia.

By bus:
From the Hard Rock Café in Barcelona every 15 minutes.
