The gothic quarter of Barcelona is an excellent location for shopaholics and the main shopping streets Avinguda Portal de l’Angel and Calle de la Portaferrissa offer a wide selection of big chain stores, including Zara, Mango, H&M, Desiguall, Levi’s, PullandBear, Berschka, Pimkie and Benetton.

Shopping in the Gothic quarter has the perfect balance of old and new and for those that prefer things unusual and unique, then lurking in the back streets and small alleys are countless dusty old stores hoarding some fine antiques, old books and curiosities of allsorts.

Calle Avinyó and its side streets should be given special attention if you are looking for something special.
With so many shops it is not easy to make a selection, so we have compiled a short list of the craziest shops in this area.
