Luggage lockers in Barcelona – your suitcases are safe!

If there is one thing that everyone dreads when on holiday in a city it’s having to drag a suitcase around. Even for the most dedicated of travellers being stuck with your luggage can present a real problem. This isn’t a worry in Barcelona, as there are several luggage lockers in the city. These are the places which you should go to if you don’t know what to do before checking in or after checking out of your apartment

Oh-Barcelona’s clients have it easy – they can leave their suitcases in our offices, although only from Monday to Friday from 11 – 20h. For other times, here are some other suggestions.

Leaving luggage at Barcelona’s Airport (El Prat)

El Prat airport has a dedicated storage area in Terminal 1B for those want to leave their suitcases. It’s located on the ground floor in T1on the lower level of the Plaza.

The lockers are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and there are three prices depending on the size of the luggage. The large locker costs €5.40, medium €4.80 and small €4.20 for 24 hours.

If you land in T2 you have two options, the first is to transfer to T1. The other option, usually more practical is to drop off your luggage at Sants train station on your way to the city centre.

Luggage lockers at Sants train station

Sants train station also has an area where you can deposit your luggage. It can be found next to McDonalds, so it shouldn’t be too hard to spot. The area is monitored by cameras 24hours a day, so you know that your suitcases will be in safe hands. This service is available 365 days of the year between 5.30 – 23h.

Leaving luggage at Estació del Nord

You can also leave your bags and suitcases in this train station between 5.30 -1h. The problem is that it’s not as well connected as Sants, however it’s a good option if you’re staying nearby or you need to catch a train.

In the Estació del Nord, as with Sants station, there are also special storage for other types of luggage and equipment such as skis or surfboards, it costs €5 to rent out these lockers.

Luggage lockers in the city centre

There are a few places where you can leave luggage in the city, for example, Bertan Sant Quay *Ferris, Barcelona Port, is ideal for those travelling by boat. The prices are average, but access to the lockers is only available between 9 – 13 and 16 – 23 hours.

The private luggage locker, Locker Barcelona, has a great advantage compared to the other places – it’s situated in the heart of Barcelona’s city centre, five minutes away from Plaça Catalunya, on 36 Carrer Structural, 08002. It’s open from 9.30 – 21h, although in the summer it opens one hour earlier and closes an hour later.

The best thing of all… is the 3 for 2 special offer. Leave your suitcase there for three days and only pay for two. Also you’ll have unlimited access to your suitcases during the three days.

Now you have one less thing to worry about if you’re planning a trip to Barcelona! Everyone loves a bit of last minute souvenir shopping or sightseeing, but it’s always so much better without a suitcase in tow!
