Well with such a wide range of shopping in Eixample Esquerra we weren’t too sure where to begin, but after careful deliberation and a lot of retail therapy later (for research purposes only of course), our list is finally ready. Before we talk specific shops, the two areas below must be mentioned. They couldn’t be more different but offer an equally exciting selection of goodies so if you find yourself with some spare Euros or are on the hunt for something special then pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
Rambla de Catalunya
This major street in Barcelona is one of the city’s trendiest streets, with many international fashion shops. A quieter version of Passeig de Gràcia, this avenue is lined with trees and makes for a pleasant stroll for those looking for high-fashion names and Spanish luxury brands.
El Mercat del Ninot
This traditional market offers over 175 different stalls from groceries, meat and fish, to household goods, clothes, lingerie, bags, gifts and knickknacks. There is usually some sort of promotion going on such as a raffle or free gift so be sure to check it out.
