The people behind the Oh-Barcelona blog

Editor: Julie Sheridan

Julie has been obsessed with all things Spanish since she was a child, and back in the pre-internet days taught herself the language by listening to Gloria Estefan tapes. After six years and two degrees in Hispanic Studies at Glasgow University, she relocated to Edinburgh where she spent a decade designing websites, writing about investments and living under Scotch mist.

An earlier university year in Madrid had whetted her appetite for the Spanish way of life, however, and in spring 2011 she moved lock, stock and barrel to the Catalan capital. She is now happily esconced at Open House Group, which runs the Oh-Barcelona blog, as Content Manager.

Julie’s unfulfilled dreams include publishing a book of poetry, seeing the Lipizzaner stallions dance in Vienna and one day checking in luggage to Ryanair without paying a lot of extra money.
