Arta is located in the north east of Majorca and about 60km away from Palma de Majorca. The area is formed by a beautiful mountain chain, the mountains of Artana, which is also the highest peak in the mountains of Levante. The coast of Arta is known for its beautiful and pure nature and you should not miss to visit the dunes o Sa Canova, La Colonia di Sant Pere, las rocas de Ferrutx and all the little bays with empty beaches. The city of Arta is situated on the foot of a hill and surrounded by citywalls and has a gotic church and a charming old centre. In Arta the traditional fiestas like the fiesta de Sant Antoni still take place in the original way.
