About Open House Group
Oh-Barcelona is run by Open House Group, which was founded in Barcelona in 1997 with the aim of redefining the concept of tourism in the city. Around that time interest in the city was growing, with the international spotlight provided by the Olympic Games, and word was beginning to get out about what Barcelona had to offer. Tourists were keen to come and discover the place for themselves.
We set up Oh-Barcelona to meet this need, and have spent the last 14 years growing and developing the business. In fact, we were the first company to offer this service in the city, and the success of our approach has allowed us to launch sites in various other cities around Europe.
We don’t want to just ‘sell’ the merits of Barcelona to our clients, but to offer them a truly unique experience – the whole package. This is what prompted us to create our exclusive discount vouchers scheme, which clients are automatically entitled to when they book accommodation through us. The scheme allows your guests to benefit from a range of discounts on some great tours and activities in and around the city, and we’re delighted to be able to offer it.
Then of course there’s our Barcelona blog, which is recommended by both WAYN and Trip Advisor. It contains a wealth of articles and advice for people visiting or interested in visiting the city. Considered together, these aspects make our company an expert in the field of online holiday rentals in what is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

- 2004 - We start to offer products in Berlin and Paris.
- 2005 - Oh-Holidays.com is launched, offering apartment rentals and hotels in most destinations in Europe.
- 2008 - Our famous Barcelona blog goes live.

- We include hostels in our portfolio of Barcelona accommodation.
- We start to offer products in Rome (Oh-Rome.com).
- We open offices in Berlin and Paris.
- 2011 - We launch websites for London, Prague, Vienna, Florence, Venice and Dublin.
