DESCRIPTION DU CIRCUIT
Visit the magnificent walled Medieval city of Gerona, originally built by the Romans as a fortress many centuries ago. Allow yourself to become lost in the alluring labyrinth of narrow streets which still reflect the two centuries of Moorish occupation and there is also an intricate Jewish quarter. Despite the more recent centuries of Christianity there are still many signs of these previous occupants. On your tour you will visit the impressive Cathedral whose location has been a place of worship since the Roman occupation. The Cathedral was founded in 1038, however most of the present building dates from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. After your visit to this beautiful city, continue to Figueres for lunch and visit the whimsical Dali Museum.
