The barri gòtic (Gothic quarter) of Barcelona is the oldest part of the city and tends to be one of the first ports of call for visitors to the Catalan capital. Its easy to see why this is a medieval warren of a place, built on Roman foundations and full of atmospheric alleyways, small squares and historic buildings. As well as being the location for the autonomous Catalan government, the area is the nucleus for many festival events. In particular, the Fiesta Mayor and the Mercé which take place at the end of September see the narrow streets filled with fire-breathing dragons, processions of devils, music, dancing, and all-round revelry.This is a popular and bustling part of the city, so would be ideal if youre after a fast-paced holiday or just fancy being at the thick of things. I was very pleased with the quality of service I received. I had regular emails regarding what to do next and reminders about payments and information about things to do, how to get from the airport etc, this was very helpful. My Barcelona link from my emails took me to the website and I found it easy to use, actually the website was extremely user friendly. I do not think there is anything that could have been done by Oh to have made my stay iany better than it was. We had an amazing time and the experience was enhanced by the service we received before we even got there.
